The Rabbits
Hamlet
Herd Buck- Shaded Program
Hamlet is my Smoke Pearl foundation Buck. While he is not pedigreed (a family friend found him in their yard), I have found him to be a reliable show buck. After winning two BOV and one BOSV awards, I decided to give breeding him a shot, so here we are!
Family Pride's Beatrice
Herd Doe- Shaded Program, RFS Program
This pretty doe is the newest member of my rabbity and most definitely the princess of my barn. Born in late December, she will be the mother of most of my future brood does and will hopefully win lots of for me on the show tables. She is super bold and loves to be held- a stark contrast to shy Hamlet- and loves the beach!
Polonius (AKA Puff)
Pet and General Goof
Puff is one of the rabbits I invested in, only to find out that he is not of brood quality. I brought him to the vet concerned about a reoccurring pimple and found out that he has an irregular heart rhythm, so this sweet boy will be a lovable pet for the rest of his time with me. He is a pretty nice rabbit though (forgive the posed photos of him, he's molting and not actually that wrinkly) and if I can get him into show condition, he might join me for some shows!
Chiara's Henry Higgins
Brood buck and Dirty Boi
Henry is the runt from my first litter of English Spots and currently the only Spot buck I own. His life has been quite fraught with difficulty- being a runt to start off, having a heat stroke on a particularly hot day at Fair, and continually playing dead for me (why? I don't know.)- but he has never lost his happy go lucky personality. He isn't what I would call show quality, but he has developed quite nicely though I'd like to see more extension on his front legs and better markings. I hope to use him to found another line of spots, but more likely he will be my Spot genes for my pet project- creating a Rex furred English Spot- since I'm not sure of the quality of his offspring.
