About Me.
Welcome to Sunshine Rabbitry! Since I began raising meat rabbits as a 4H kid, rabbits have become a passion of mine. My love for the challenge of breeding and showing had me move from my well loved Californians to English Spots to Mini Rex where I have settled now.
Currently, I am starting a Shaded Mini Rex program- focusing on Smoked Pearls, Sables, and Red Eyed Whites. As far as English Spots go, I am on the lookout for a good doe, but currently I only have a buck so I will not be having any litters any time soon. If I do get back into it, I hope to start getting into Tort colors since they recently got recognized.
On the side, I have the goal of creating a Rex furred English Spot type rabbit. I have made a little progress with the help of a few friends, but they unfortunately had to get out of rabbits, so I will be starting from square one.

Mini Rex- Shaded Program
I will be purchasing my foundation doe on May 20th and hope to start breeding in June when she is old enough. Hamlet, my foundation buck, is looking forward to having a girlfriend lol.

English Spot Program
My two English Spots, Henry and Eliza, are living well and enjoying life! Henry continues to make a lovable nuisance of himself and is always looking forward to his next meal. Eliza, a retired brood doe, is getting on in years, but she is still glossy and as sweet as ever.

"Spotted Rex" Program
My first Spotted Rex litter was born on July 12, 2023, and consists of one black sport and three black marked kits. Beatrice, my shaded Mini Rex doe, is doing a wonderful job. Zeus, an English Spot from my second litter of spots, is a very proud dad.
